Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Review In this episode, we're going to take a look at what is arguably one of the greatest games of the ps3 generation, Uncharted 2: Among thieves. If Uncharted 1 made everyone sit up and take notice of the seriously talented team at Naughty Dog, then Uncharted 2 pushed them into an elite category of games development If you are new to the channel, this is where we break games down to their four main components, Graphics, Sound, Game-play and Replay Value to give you an overall score, before we start, make sure you hit that like button and subscribe to see all our reviews, let's get into it. Graphics:  Uncharted one was a beautiful game, sure there was some screen tearing at times but it showcased what the PS3 could do at the time. Two years later and along comes Uncharted 2, and it blew the first game out of the water, they took what they learned from the first game and cranked it up. The world was bigger, the set pieces were bigger, the detail was o...

Uncharted Drakes Fortune Review - LTD Games Bargain Bin Review

Image
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune Review In this episode we go right back to the dawn of the ps3 with uncharted, drakes fortune, this is the game that took developer naughty dog from a creator of fun platform games to the masters of story-driven gaming. Graphics:  When this game first launched it pushed the envelope of what's possible with graphics, and while some of the textures and models might seem average by modern standards, this game can still pack a punch. Whether it's standing on top a boat and staring out at the glimmering sunset. Or walking through thick luscious forests this game still looks a treat. Its water physics was class-leading at the time with Drake clothes getting wet when he interacted with water. Throw in the brilliantly acted cut scenes and this game can still suck you in to this day. Score: 8.5 Sound:  To say the sound in this game has held up well over the years would be an understatement, like a star wars intro music or the Indiana Jones score Uncharted has ...

Marvel's Avengers Review

Image
Marvels Avengers: When I first saw that Crystal Dynamics were creating a story-driven Avengers game I was initially skeptical, I was worried they couldn't live up to the standard set by Insomniac Games with Spider-Man Within half an hour of playing Marvel Avengers, my fears were laid to rest, this game explodes out of the box and doesn't let up, its epic in every sense of the word. Graphics: At times in this game you'd think you were playing an uncharted game, not just because Nolan North is one of the lead voice actors but because some of the set pieces are epic, the game starts with a stunning battle on top of the golden gate bridge and rarely does it let up Its not an open-world game by any stretch but some of the levels can be quite big, each detailed really well. What I really loved was how each character interacted with the world slightly differently giving them all a different feel, Thor's lighting and Iron man's lasers are a thing to behold but the...

PGA Tour 2K21 Review

Image
Developer HB Studios, who brought you the golf club series of games has teamed up with publisher 2K to bring their golf games to a much bigger audience Even though this games has been re-branded to be PGA Tour 2K21 it still holds true to golf club series origins and this is both a good and a bad thing. If you are new to the channel, this is where we break games down to their four main components, Graphics, Sound, Game-play and Replay Value to give you an overall score, before we start, make sure you hit that like button and subscribe to see all our reviews, let's get into it . Graphics: At times the graphics in this game can look really good, the grass, trees and water are what you expect them to be, but its nothing special and you could argue that the now six-year-old game Rory Mcilroy Golf looks just as good if not better, which is disappointing. The graphics in this game might be held back by one of the games best features, the course editor but we'll get to that late...
